On our way to work this morning we passed a cat that had apparently been hit by a car on Irving Street near 17th. It was a good-sized black cat, no collar, but it looked too clean and well-fed to be feral. The cat was already dead (cold and stiff) and looks like it died instantly but I dragged it off the road so it wouldn't be hit again. My condolences to the owner, we lost one of our own cats recently.
