The In-home Daycare my daughter (13 months old) attends has an opening. Mary Mejia is the main worker and it is her home. The location is in the Parkview area, just south of the Petworth metro stop in NW DC. Mary is WONDERFUL! She cares for 3 months - 3 years old, but currently only has infants and 1 year olds (18 months is oldest right now). She has the capacity to care for 6 children in her home. She speaks mostly Spanish, but her husband is fluent in English and is available to translate via email or on the phone if necessary. Mary has worked in daycare, in various settings, for many years and has a lot of training, certificates, and clearances. Even though she cares for the babies in her home, she runs things in a very professional way. I receive a daily report from her about the details of each day (i.e. sleeping, eating, diaper changes, and activities). She has one other woman who helps her each day and both woman are fantastic with the babies. The cost is very reasonable and she is willing to do full-time or part-time.
